Why Candidate Assessment?
At HealthLink360 we understand that living and working in a culture that is not our own is exciting and rewarding but can bring its unique stresses and strains. The purpose of our Candidate Assessment Service is to explore with the individual their personal strengths and challenges which may influence the ability to function in their chosen overseas setting.
Employers today have a duty of care to their employees
Candidate Assessment is therefore not only helpful for individuals/families who are working through their consideration to live and work overseas and who wish to be fully prepared but also for sponsoring agencies and churches who wish to assess, enhance and maintain their overseas partner’s resilience in the field
The benefits of Candidate Assessment are comprehensive:
- Promoting increased self awareness for the candidate
- Promoting understanding for the agency and/or partner/family as to what ensures an effective placement
- Aiding the development of resilience for the placement
Full Candidate Assessment includes:
- A detailed, structured interview
- Psychometric questionnaires measuring personality traits and emotional intelligence
- Supportive questionnaires measuring current satisfaction and frustration
- A feedback session for the candidates based on the outcome of questionnaires
- A written report for the candidate which may be shared with the agency.
The report includes a section on recommendations for continued wellbeing overseas. It allows insight into how a candidate functions on a day to day basis and includes practical suggestions on the areas that need to be strengthened in order to function well in an overseas setting
Short Candidate Assessment
This service may be provided as an alternative to a full candidate assessment and includes:
- Assessment of postal questionnaires sent directly to the candidate
- A report based solely on the psychometric personality tests.
Candidate assessment can be carried out as part of our Global Starter package of care or by itself
