At Healthlink360 we offer full medicals and checkups to a wide range of people:
- Individuals/families who are preparing to live and work overseas
- Individuals/families returning from overseas assignment
- Faith Leaders and those in ministry or pastoral care
- UK based staff, business or frequent travellers
Healthlink360 is a not-for-profit health charity, therefore many of our clients attending for medicals are those working overseas or in the UK with Mission Agencies, churches and Humanitarian Aid Agencies.
Our team of dedicated doctors, with their extensive background of medical experience, have a particular understanding of the stresses and difficulties faced by those working in these sectors.
People who are UK based are usually able to obtain medical care through their GP. There are however, situations (eg Chronic fatigue, stress related illness, those who travel frequently or have a particular concern related to travel) where it can be helpful to have a full review with the extended length of appointment we can offer compared to your GP.
Our clinical team have a wealth of personal and professional knowledge of tropical, travel and occupational health medicine and can offer expert opinion in the above areas.
All our doctors are thoroughly inducted to the work at Healthlink360 and have regular updates and annual appraisals. They offer their services on a voluntary or sessional basis
What can you expect from your medical at Healthlink360?
Whether you are preparing to go overseas or are returning home; whether you are based in the UK, travel frequently or have a particular health issue, your medical will be tailored to your individual needs and will include some of the following:
- Physical Examination
- Health screening for asymptomatic conditions (eg CV risk assessment, testicular/breat examination)
- Detection and assessment of any current health problems
- Assessment /treatment of any health issues that have arisen overseas
- Arrangement for specialist assessment/follow up if needed
- Advice on managing medical conditions and general health abroad
- Country specific advice on particular health risks including vaccinations, anti malarials etc
- Core blood tests, stool and urine, tropical screening as necessary
- Additional tests such as ECG/Chest XRay as required
We can also provide medicals for children going to live overseas with parents or on returning home. These are tailored to the age of the child, any current health or developmental concerns and their country of residence.
Medicals can be carried out as part of a package of care – Global Starter, Home Care or Shalom Review or can stand alone.
