Health Screening for short-term volunteers

(online service)

For individuals aged 18-30

This screening is suitable for young adults embarking on overseas placements of up to 1 year. It involves assessment by one of our clinicians, of an on-line health screening questionnaire completed by the individual. If further information is required about a medical condition, health issue or medication, a follow-up phone call is initiated with the doctor. An additional wellbeing assessment may be required with one of our psychological practitioners if you have experienced mental health difficulties in the past or are currently experiencing something like depression, anxiety or an issue with eating. A report is then prepared for the individual and sending agency giving a recommendation on fitness for placement along with any support measures required. A tiered pricing structure is applied according to the level of assessment required. Medical Follow-up may be required (Phone call). Follow up Mental Health Wellbeing Assessment may be required (online).

For individuals 30 yrs +

For older adults embarking on short term overseas placements of up to 1 year, we offer a similar but more in-depth health screening. A more detailed health questionnaire is completed on-line by the individual and some basic health screening measurements requested. These can usually be carried out by a nurse or health-care assistant at the GP surgery. If further medical information or tests are required, a follow-up phone call is initiated with the doctor. An additional well-being assessment may be required with one of our psychological practitioners if you have experienced mental health difficulties in the past or are currently experiencing something like depression, anxiety or an issue with eating.
