Our Travel Clinic.

At HealthLink360 Travel Clinic our team of travel health medical and nursing specialists offer a range of health care services tailored to individuals and families going overseas.

Our aim is to help you get ready for your trip and to give you expert advice to ensure you have a safe and healthy experience.

Ideally appointments should be made 6-8 weeks prior to travel but we are usually able to accomadate last minute appointments.

Travel vaccinations can be expensive; click on this link to read about what is available through the NHS.

What happens at my appointment?

Every traveller is required to book a travel consultation with one of our travel health specialists where you will receive up-to-date advice and recommendations. Advice is personalised both to you and the country or countries that you are visiting. During your appointment you can begin your course of vaccinations, and you may need to return for further vaccinations if necessary.

What if I have any health issues when I get back?

Please call your GP if you have any health issues following your travels.

If necessary you can arrange to come to HealthLink360 for a post travel check up, a 30-minute medical dealing with specific travel health issues eg Bilharzia or stomach problems. Any tests carried out will be specific to the clinical concern. A separate charge may be necessary for certain tests.

Counselling

If you are an anxious traveller, why not consider an online counselling session at our clinic? More info.

What should I do next?

Step 1: If you would like to, you can check your travel destination at the Fit For Travel website to get an idea of what vaccinations you might need. Don’t worry if this isn’t possible - we’ll discuss and confirm this information during your consultation.

Step 2: Contact us to book an appointment. Ideally this should be done at least 6-8 weeks in advance of your travel but we also offer last minute appointments, so please contact us if you are travelling soon.

Step 3: We’ll email a medical/health questionnaire for you to complete.

Step 4: When you come to the clinic please bring any previous travel vaccination records you might have. If you have any special requirements or are anxious about anything this can be discussed during your phone consultation.

Step 5: Payment can be made by cash, cheque or card at reception.

Step 6: Follow up appointments maybe required for a course of vaccinations.
